Important: Read Before Disposing
Mattresses are collected as part of the City of Dallas' monthly Brush & Bulky Item Collection service. Residents must place mattresses at the curb by 7:00 AM on the Monday of their scheduled collection week, but no earlier than the Thursday before the collection week. Each individual item, including mattresses, should not exceed 12 feet in length or weigh more than 150 lbs. The total volume of all bulk items collected per household per month is limited to 10 cubic yards. There are no explicit official requirements from the City of Dallas for wrapping mattresses for curbside pickup, though it may be recommended by some for sanitary reasons.
